Super 8 wedding film packages give you the grainy, cinematic look of real analog film — shot by your own guests, not a hired crew. No videographer's day rate, no second shooter, just a camera in the mail and a finished film a few weeks later.
Super 8 is real analog film, processed and scanned at a professional lab. It reads as nostalgic and cinematic by default — grain, warmth, a texture no digital filter fully replicates. The tradeoff is that it needs light and a shorter run time per roll.
Digital video, including our Hi8 package, is an early-2000s camcorder format. It handles low light better and covers more of the day, with a warmer, candid, home-movie feel rather than film's cinematic grain. Neither is objectively better — they're two different looks, and it usually takes about two example videos to know which one is yours.

The camera arrives and returns on our dime.
So the footage comes back usable, not random.
A traditional wedding videographer delivers a polished, produced film. Some couples book us alongside one. Some book us instead — usually the budget-conscious ones.
Compared to a traditional wedding videographer, no. Videographers typically run $4,000 to $10,000 or more. Our guest-shot packages, including the Super 8 film option, range from $1,200 to $1,950 and already include the camera, film, lab processing, editing, and shipping both ways.
Super 8 is real analog film, processed at a lab, with a richer and more cinematic grain than any digital camera produces naturally. Digital video, including our Hi8 package, is easier to shoot in low light and captures more of the day, but has a different, more candid, camcorder-style look.
The Standard package at $1,200 using our Hi8 digital camera is the most affordable option. It includes the same shipping, editing, and raw footage as every other package — the only difference is the camera format.
Yes. Every package, including the Standard $1,200 option, includes a professionally edited film and all of the raw footage. Editing is never an upsell.
If the analog grain and film look matter to you, the $400 step up from Standard to Premium is a real film camera and lab processing rather than a digital sensor. If budget is the only factor, Hi8 delivers the same guest-shot format and editing for less.
